Mila Lyutskanova

Mila did a four-year study in Cultural Studies at Sofia University, followed by a BA in Acting from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”, Sofia. Since 2015 she has been performing in state theaters around Bulgaria, taking part in a number of independent theater projects as an actor, performer and director, and participating in short and full-length movie productions. In 2022/23 she was an associate director of the Bulgarian production of SpongeBob: The Musical, directed by West Hyler. Mila is the voice of 20 audiobooks produced by Storytel Bulgaria. She was awarded the Ikar prize of the Union of Bulgarian Actors for her debut alongside Broyana Bratoeva, for their roles in “The Palaveev Sisters”, Drama Theatre of Plovdiv. Her second Ikar came as part of the creative team of “Avenue Q” which was granted the award for great contributions to the art of puppetry. Mila is the author of a poetry book called “The End of Words”, published in October 2023. She is currently doing an MA in Expanded Theater in the Art Academy of Bern, Switzerland. Mila has one secret very important role in the team - she is in charge of the festival parties!
