AGAMEMNON BY AESCHYLUS

Directed by: Dimitris Imellos

A signal indicates the fall of Troy. King Agamemnon returns home.
His wife Clytemnestra, furious at him for murdering their daughter, has been ruling the kingdom. Clytemnestra kills both Agamemnon and his lover Cassandra and triumphs together with her lover Aegisthus. The expectation of salvation coming from the outer world, a constant so typical for the image of contemporary Greece, runs like a leitmotif throughout Agamemnon, the first part of Oresteia.
