The guests of the International Student Theater Festival “Danail Chirpanski” will also be able to enjoy a Bulgarian performance.
The students from the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” will present their interpretation of one of the first recorded works in the West European literature – Homer’s “Iliad”. They will recreate the story of the quest for honor, glory and immortality to their colleagues from Russia, England, Georgia, Greece and Spain.
The selected material will be presented by Assoc. Prof. Penko Gospodinov’s students and was directed by Lora Mutisheva, both lecturers at the National Academy for Theater and Film Arts, where Danail himself was a student. The young actors from the Academy will have the opportunity to honor their colleague’s memory and be part of his legacy, which is one of the main goals of the festival.
NATFA “Krastyo Sarafov” is the first theater institution in Bulgaria and to this day is preferred by many young people who are looking for development in the field of theatre and cinema. It’s graduates enjoy a good professional realization, thanks to their training, entrusted in the hands of highly rated professionals and pedagogues. In the Ranking System of Higher Education Institutions in Republic of Bulgaria, the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts is in first place in category “Theater and film art” for 2016.
